How does the underlined sentence contribute to the theme that culture can limit our thinking? It indicates that the aunt’s portr

ayal of right and wrong is inauthentic and unconvincing. It shows that children and adults have opposing perspectives on what goodness is. It characterizes the children as eager to accept any viewpoint that disagrees with their aunt’s. It satirizes the bachelor’s conception of goodness by comparing it to the one in the aunt’s story.

Answer: It indicates that the aunt's portrayal of right and wrong is inauthentic and unconvincing

Explanation:

The underlined sentence contribute to the theme that culture can limit our thinking as it indicates that the aunt's portrayal of right and wrong is inauthentic and unconvincing.

From the excerpt, despite the aunt saying good things about the girl such as she being truthful, polite and clean, she still said that the girl wasn't as pretty as the other girls. This showed that the aunt's portrayal of right and wrong is inauthentic and unconvincing.

Write one paragraph stating what you think the theme of "Two Kinds" is. Be sure to provide textual support for your position, pr
ser-zykov [4K]

Here is a paragraph for "Two Kinds" which talks about the theme:

"Two Kinds" is actually known as a short story that was written by Amy Tan. The story has about two themes. One refers to the American Dream while the other theme has to do with tension that exists between a mother and her daughter. I think the story's theme tends to reflect more of what a daughter wants herself and what her mother wants for her. Her mother have great plan for her but she tends not to see it that way.

What is theme?

Theme is actually known to be the underlying subject or message that is seen within a story, narrative, text, poem or novel. Themes help people to actually understand what a story is all about.

We see here that the theme in "Two Kinds" is about the American dream and what goes on between a mother and her daughter.
