At the start of discussion students should:
Tpy6a [65]

Answer:

At the start of discussion, students should establish agreement before disagreeing. Agree to disagree is one of the rules in the discussion.

EXPLANATION:

Agree to disagree is one of the common rules in discussion or debate. To say disagreement, one should express it politely; by establishing agreement first then stating the disagreement. Agree to disagree is not only expressed at the beginning of a discussion but also during the discussion.

As a student who holds a discussion, giving an opinion and arguing a certain point has to be in “academic” language. It means that, although the tension of a discussion might be increased, and heated, it is always needed to express an argument politely, especially when it comes to stating disagreement. You should politely disagree. It can be done by acknowledging the opponent’s opinion first and then saying your reasons why you disagree. Stating agreement or disagreement also have to be followed by reasons and shreds of evidence.

Here are examples of polite agree to disagree in a discussion by acknowledging the opponent’s ideas and stating the disagreement:

1. I see what you are getting at, but don’t you think that ……..

2. That’s a good point, but how about ………

3. I see what you mean, but …………..

4. I see what you mean, I’m not sure that’s right.

5. That’s a good point, but I’m not sure that’s right.

Using the best thesis statement listed below to compose an outline with three major supporting details and two minor supporting
FinnZ [79.3K]

A thesis statement should tell the reader what the paper is about and also help guide the writing and keep the argument focused. In this paragraph, the best thesis statement is, "Time Management will give you the opportunity to have a non-complicated in your life, focusing on your life."

Thesis: "Time Management will give you the opportunity to have a non-complicated in your life, focusing on your life."

1. No worries

  • Get a good night's sleep
  • Start the day with vitality

2. Have set goals

  • daily schedule- respect time frames for each activity
  • not in a hurry

3. Planning

  • Can check your goals in writing
  • Able to add reminders to keep on with the goals' accomplishment

The paragraph is short, so the main points made are the three major supporting details. Then, using additional points from the paragraph, you can find minor supporting detail for each major supporting detail. The answer could vary slightly depending on one's interpretation of what is the most important in the paragraph, but generally these are the main ideas.

Note: I believe there may be a word missing in the thesis or the first sentence of the paragraph, after non-complicated and before in.
