If the National Football League negotiates licensing deals on its own terms this means that every company licensed to the NFL is doing so under specific deals conditions that are different from others.

This would make it quite difficult to find out how much the NFL is making therefore because one would have to find out the details of every deal which can be cumbersome especially if the contract is protected and not for public disclosure.
