Explanation:

Henry Worsley was attempting a solo crossing of Antarctica in a 1,000 mile journey as he aimed to raise money for the Endeavour Fund.

Sadly he died before he could finish after having completed 970 miles of the journey. His journey and death sparked such an interest however, that over £300,000 was raised for the fund.

The Endeavour Fund is a charity that aims to help wounded servicemen/ vets with rehabilitation so that they are able to re-engage in physical activity like sports that they had become unable to do as a result of the injuries they sustained whilst in the military.
