Meditation is the focusing of the mind on spiritual ideas. Mindfulness is the state of being alert and mentally present for one’s everyday activities.

Meditation refers to formal, seated, meditation practice. There are many type of meditation that focus on opening your heart, expanding your awareness, calming your mind, and experiencing your inner peace and virtue.

Mindfulness is the simple act of paying attention and noticing and being present in whatever you are doing. When being actively mindful, you are observing the world around you, as well as your thoughts, feelings, movements, behaviors, and effects you have on others around you.
