The length of one of the sides of the larger pentagon is 24 cm. The length of one of the sides of the smaller pentagon is 8 cm.

24÷8=3

So, if the larger pentagon is 3x the size of the smaller pentagon, we can find the area of the smaller pentagon by dividing the area of the larger pentagon by 3.

135÷3=45

The area of the smaller pentagon is 45in²

susan designed a circular pool with a diameter of 24 meters. what is the area of the bottom of the pool?
Gennadij [26K]
Diameter = 24 m

radius = diameter/2 = 24 m / 2 = 12 m

area = pi * r^2 = 3.14 * (12 m)^2 = 3.14 * 144 m^2 = 452.16 m^2

PLEASE HELP EXPLAIN!!!!!
Nookie1986 [14]
I think( so correct me if i'm wrong).....Using the distance formula... D=Rate x Time, you alter it so that it equals time, since you want to find the number of weeks.
Time = Distance/ rate
SInce you start off at 2 and end up with 5, the total distance is 3 (I subtracted 5-2). And rate is already 12% (this is the iffy part, I'm not sure if you change the 12%  in anyway.... but lets move on)

SO Time= 3miles/ 12% which is 1/4 of a week, or possibly.....

Time = 3 miles/ 0.12 which would equal 25 weeks.....
Do they give you these answers?

Need help remembering how to solve f(x)=5x2
nata0808 [166]
F(x)=5*2
the f(x) stands for a normal X like any other algebraic equation. so all it is, is 5 times 2, which is 10.
so,
f(x)=5*2
f(x)=10<span />

Rita makes and sells necklaces. The materials to make each necklace cost $2.75. Last week she made 8 necklaces and wants to make
Tresset [83]

Answer:

The error she made was that she was adding x and 2.75. She should subtract 2.75 from x.

Another mistake that she made was that she sold each for $7 assuming that she would make a profit of 78, but she should see each necklace for $12.5 so that she could make a profit of $78.

Step-by-step explanation:

The error she made was that she was adding x and 2.75.

She should write the equation as 8 (x - 2.75) = 78; as she spends $2.75 to make a necklace.

By using the correct equation: 8 (x - 2.75) = 78

=> 8x - 22 = 78

=> 8x = 78 + 22

=> 8x = 100

=> x = 100/8

=> x = 12.5

Another mistake that she made was that she sold each for $7 assuming that she would make a profit of 78, but she should see each necklace for $12.5 so that she could make a profit of $78.

Hope this helps you.
