Please write a paragraph with 6-10 sentences
Maksim231197 [3]
America is like a quilt, because the United States is formed by fifty states that connects to one another. However, these states weren’t always together before. It was due to time that these states are all together as one. The states had even once fought each other in a war. (For example, The American Civil War between the south and north also known as the fight over enslavement.) After slavery is over, many events such as women’s suffrage movement came. After those events, the United States became more united just like how a quilt is made. A union of different ethnic and cultural traditions like a bunch of different patterns of fabrics stitched together into one giant blanket of uniqueness.

This paragraph isn’t written the best but I tried. Here it is: I hope it is helpful.

WINSTONCH [101]

This question is missing the options. I've found the compete question online. It is the following:

Read the excerpt from The Canterbury Tales.

"Gentlemen” said he, "I take pains to preach In churches with a lofty, resonant voice, Regular as a bell I ring it out, For everything I say I have by heart: My text’s the same one as it always was . . .”

Which statement best describes how the Pardoner is characterized in this passage?

A. He is an intellectual who is inspired by academics.

B. He is a confident, suave performer.

C. He is a heartless, vindictive leader.

D. He is a caring counselor who is devoted to service.

Answer:

The statement which best describes how the Pardoner is characterized in this passage is:

B. He is a confident, suave performer.

Explanation:

In this passage, the Pardoner does not come off as an intellectual. He does not mention or seem to be inspired by academics. He also does not sound vindictive, angry, or heartless in any manner. However, he does not sound caring either. His words ooze confidence. He speaks of himself and the way he preaches with the highest regard. It's as if he is praising and admiring himself: his effort, his memory, his oratory. We can safely choose letter B as the best option, thus: He is a confident, suave performer.
