Answer:

Hey Mark,

How is it like at your school, anything new? I do not really have that much free time and freedom anymore as my Biology teacher, Ms. Rue, has doubled the amount of homework that she had used to give. But Ms. Rue is very funny, she likes to make jokes. I find it very pleasant to have her. All of my other Teachers are very strict, and mean. So this makes Ms. Rue my favourite teacher. Enough about me, do you have a favourite teacher? If so, which one? I Can not wait to hear from you soon.

From,

Ariana.

Identify the proper synonym for the expression in italics.
Anna007 [38]

Answer:

The proper synonym for the expression in italics is Option C: survive .

Explanation:

Italicized word “Get by” means “to manage with difficulty to live with” or . It also means to survive or cope up. The sentence means that “Do not worry about me, I will be able to cope up or get on”.

Use of option A is ‘live’ will not fit in the meaning of the given sentence. Option B ‘stay’, means to remain at one place, which also doesn’t fit in the sentence. So, option A and B are incorrect to be used as a synonym for ‘get by’ and the correct answer is Option C.
