⦁ Leo designs a stand for the new statue on display at the local library. The stand is in the shape of a right trapezoidal prism
vlabodo [156]

If the surface area of the stand to be 35 ft². The number of ropes purchase is 45.3125ft and  Percent of stand area is 83%.

<h3> Number of ropes  and Percent of stand area</h3>

Given:

Base area=3ft²

Height=3.2 feet

Surface area=35ft²

a. Number of ropes

Surface area=2×Base area×Base perimeter×Height

Base perimeter(BP):

35=2×3+BP×3.2

35=6+3.2BP

Collect like term

3.2BP=35-6

3.2BP=9

Divide both side by 3.2BP

BP=29/3.2

BP=9.0625ft

Number of ropes=5×9.0625ft

Nimber of ropes=45.3125ft

b. Percent of stand area:

Percent of stand area=(9.0625ft×3.2)÷35ft²

Percent of stand area=29ft²÷35ft²×100

Percent of stand area=82.857ft×100

Percent of stand area=83% (Approximately)

Therefore the number of ropes purchase is 45.3125ft and  Percent of stand area is 83%.

N76 [4]

Answer: <u><em>The first no. is 6 and the second no. is 4.</em></u>

Step-by-step explanation: Let the 2 no. s be x and y respectively.

→x+ 2y = 14

<em>→x-y = 2 </em>

<em>∴ x = 2+y</em>

<em>y = y</em>

∴ x+2y=14

= 2+y+2y=14

3y=14-2

3y=12 , y = 12/3=4

∴y = 4

→x = 2+y

= 2+4=6

∴x=6

<u><em>Thus, the first no. is 6 and the second no. is 4.</em></u>

The gas gauge in a car shows it has 40% of a tank of gas. If the car has about 5 gallons, approximately how many gallons can the
avanturin [10]

Answer:

the tank can hold 12.5 gallons when it is full

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's assume

tank can hold 'x' gallons when it is full

we are given

The gas gauge in a car shows it has 40% of a tank of gas

So, gas in car is

=\frac{40}{100}\times x

and we have

the car has about 5 gallons

so, we can set it equal

and then we can solve for x

5=\frac{40}{100}\times x

5=\frac{4}{10}\times x

5=\frac{2}{5}\times x

Multiply both sides 5

5\times 5=5\times \frac{2}{5}\times x

5\times 5=2x

25=2x

we get

x=12.5

So, the tank can hold 12.5 gallons when it is full
