Since japan had very little resources, they turned to neighboring countries for a solution. They first invaded Manchuria and then made their way through parts of china. The U.S then began an embargo of oil to Japan, which put them over the brink. They decided to invade British held Indonesia and Malaysia to gain the oil they needed, while subsequently attacking pearl harbor and the rest you probably know </span>
