Jamaica is an island country in the Caribbean. It is about 550 miles south of the U.S. state of Florida and its capital is Kingston.

Jamaica is home to about 3 million people. Most Jamaicans have ancestors from Africa and English is the official language in Jamaica. Many people also speak Jamaican Creole which is a mix of English and West African languages.

A long-standing dichotomy is that between short- and long-range motion processing. Here I present evidence for common early analysis, followed by divergent processing sensitive to spatial form for long-range processing. Subjects observed motion sequences consisting of a vertical, sinusoidal luminance grating (40% contrast, 1.0c/deg) divided into horizontal strips of equal height. Alternate strips drifted leftward and rightward in 90 deg steps.

Question: Why does Emerson believe it is ignorant to envy another's
metaphorical plot of land?
evablogger [386]

Explanation:

Emerson means that he sees everything; the metaphor suggests the poet is like a single, huge eye. I become a transparent eyeball; I am nothing; I see all; the currents of the Universal Being circulate through me; I am part or parcel of God.

Read the excerpt from "A Defence of Poetry.” These and corresponding conditions of being are experienced principally by those of
Zepler [3.9K]

The correct answer is "Poets are capable of effectively capturing and preserving moments of beauty and pleasure in life".

From the beginning, the author is speaking about many of the qualities that all poets share and makes them able to put down their intense subjective experiences onto words in paper. A vivid imagination, capacity to be vulnerable and delicate sensibilities, are all tools they have at their disposal to effectively capture the beauty of life and bring it back to others who might have shared their emotions. Or as the excerpt puts it: "in those who have ever experienced these emotions, the sleeping, the cold, the buried image of the past".

Hope this helps!
