D-day what happened.

In June 6, 1944 Allied forces launched a combined naval,air and land assault on Nazi -occupied france.early in June 6 allied airborne forces parachuted,into drop zones across nothern france.ground troops then landed across five assault beaches -utah, Omaha , gold,juno and sword.

The effect. was the beginning of the end for not only the Germans but hitler's most of all. D-DAY force the Germans to fight a two front war again just as they had in WWI .yet again the Germans could not handle war on both sides of them.
