Who were the Loyalists? What elements in America remained loyal to the king, and for what reasons?
VikaD [51]
The Loyalists were the people who remained loyal to the British Crown rather than were in favour of independence.

The Loyalist were on the average older and partially also richer: they were better established and therefore a change would be a risk for them. This was their reason: they were afraid of change and of loosing their position.

Which was true about the economy when franklin roosevelt campaigned for president?
allochka39001 [22]
The Great Depression had started; including an immense bank crisis. Franklin Roosevelt's mandate as a first-term President was clear and challenging: rescue the United States from the throes of its worst depression in history. Economic conditions had deteriorated in the four months between Franklin Roosevelt's election and his inauguration. Unemployment grew to over twenty-five percent of the nation's workforce, with more than twelve million Americans out of work. A new wave of bank failures hit in February 1933. Upon accepting the Democratic nomination, Franklin Roosevelt had promised a "New Deal" to help America out of the Depression, though the meaning of that program was far from clear.

How did the first nation states develop and on what continent did most of them form?
lord [1]

Answer:

For most people, the nation existed first, then nationalist movements arose for sovereignty, and the nation-state was created to meet that demand.  Most theories see the nation-state as a modern European phenomenon, facilitated by developments such as state-mandated education, mass literacy, mass media, and even including print.

There is the first part I'm a little stuck on the second part. ^
