Identify three major problems faced by farmers after the Civil War. Explain how farmers organized to address these problems.
scoray [572]
Agriculture prices were expensive, cattle farming was expensive, and their land was destroyed are three major problems they faced after the Civil War. They addressed the expensive prices by switching to crop farming (plants/tobacco/cotton, etc.) and they had high interest rates with the banks. They also faced very high railroad prices to transport their goods and therefore boycotted this method of transportation.

What impact have nuclear weapons had on the world? In what ways have they made the world more dangerous? How have they helped to
Anna11 [10]
They have made it so that works wide wars like WW1 and WW2 most likely won’t happen again because of possible use of WMD’s (weapons of mass destruction). They created peace in WW2 because otherwise many more Japanese civilians would have died, as well as American soldiers. The Japanese leaders weren’t surrendering, and the conflict needed to end. The world is more dangerous now because of the sheer amount of WMD’s that exist. It would only take 40 nukes to put the entire world into a nuclear winter, and the US alone has over 1000.

Why do you think lincoln proposed this proclamation? who did it affect? how? did it really free all the slaves?
OLEGan [10]
Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1 1863 as a means to follow up on his statement made in September of 1862. In this statement he threatened that any state rebelling against the Union and continued to do so would result in him freeing the slaves in their state. He followed up on this threat by signing this law.

Even though his intentions were good, this does not free any slaves. This is because the states rebelling against the Union do not seem themselves as American citizens who have to listen to the president. Rather, they see the Confederacy as a nation of its own, with its own laws and its own president (Jefferson Davis).

The principle that state governments and the federal government work together to develop national policies is known as_.
ser-zykov [4K]

Answer:

The correct answer is D. The principle that state governments and the federal government work together to develop national policies is known as cooperative federalism.

Explanation:

Cooperative federalism is called the federal political organization system in which the various second-order political entities (the states in the United States) collaborate in the national organization, public administration, legislation and judicial organization with the federal government, which is the first-order political entity of the nation.

That is, each level of the state (federal, state or local) does not act in isolation, but does so in an integrative and collaborative way with the different levels, so that its actions result in the greatest possible benefit for its own political level and for others, which ultimately represents the greatest possible benefit for the citizens of the United States of America.
