Tooten County is populated by a significantly lower percentage of young families than the typical county in the nation. Yet, per
stich3 [128]

Answer:

D. Elementary schools in Tooten County continue to promote the values of exercise to its students.

Explanation:

Even though Tooten County have a lower percentage of young families than a typical country, the retail sales of children's bicycles are above the national average most probably because the elementary schools promote the importance of exercise to its students.

Cycling is one form of engaging in exercise and because it is encouraged, the children tend to make demands for bicycles from their parents.

Other options are simply not viable as a plausible explanation because marketing does not always translate to sales, one local manufacturer's sales would be a small sample size to measure the whole county,  where the bicycles are imported from are immaterial, etc.

The most viable explanation would be the the promotion of exercise by elementary schools in Tooten County.

How are the sentence patterns for asking questions different from the sentence patterns for making statements?
Sindrei [870]
The answer is B. This includes helping verbs or modals like have, could would and adverbs like who, what, where, when, why and how.
A is not the answer, I like cake vs. What is your name? both are short and statements like this are common.
C is not the answer because we often use pronouns in questions and adjectives are used as descriptions regardless of statement or question. Where is she? What is it? Disprove the pronoun aspect. Is it a blue color? Disproves the adjective aspect.
D is not the answer because of questions of fact like, what time is it? There is no direct or indirect object because the verb is a linking verb, used for a statement, connecting or linking the subject to the fact, without an object.
