This question is about "Things fall apart"

Answer and Explanation:

1. What caused the revolt between the church and the clan was the replacement of Reverend Brown with the reverence of Smith. That's because Reverend Brown was a very respectful man who considered and respected the clan's religious culture, not forcing them to accept Christian concepts, but willingly welcoming those who, on their own, decided to convert. Reverend Smith, on the other hand, proved to be an intolerant man, forbidding the religion followed by the clan, forcing clan members to convert to Christianity and punishing those who disobey him.

2. The result of this was the burning of the church by the members of the clan and the arrest of the clan leaders by Reverend Smith in retaliation.
