Answer:

The Cyprus experiment was a social experiment performed on Cyprus, in which they attempted to establish a society made up purely of Alphas. The experiment was unsuccessful, as it members soon disintegrated, engaging in civil war. In the end, they asked the World Controllers to take over.

Explanation:

The Cyprus Experiment was an experiment referenced by Mustapha Mond in his conversation with John during their last meeting in Brave New World. In it, Mustapha refers to a time when the island of Cyprus was only populated with the best minds, or Alphas, that society had.

Mustapha Mond - The Resident World Controller of Western Europe, one of only ten World Controllers. He was once an ambitious, young scientist performing illicit research. When his work was discovered, he was given the choice of going into exile or training to become a World Controller.

Mustapha Mond says science, if not controlled, is very dangerous and only illuminates facts not beneficial to an individual's happiness.

B. That she is not totally under her father’s control

Miranda, emotionally affected by all that was happening, seems to suspect that his father has "art", (magic or supernatural powers) and that he was the one who created the terrible storm that was doing great harms to the people and the ships, and she continues by asking him to put an end to it, which demonstrates Miranda's position toward his father, she does not talk out of full fear, submission or confusion, but of determination. She asks for a straightforward thing: "to allay the waters".
