Answer:

D. Across

Explanation:

The prefix "trans" is derived from Latin and is used commonly throughout the English language.  There are many examples that can help determine the meaning of this prefix.  Consider these few examples:

TransAtlantic flight --> A flight across the Atlantic ocean

Account Transfer --> A movement of an item across acounts

Translate --> express a word or phrase across languages

Note, in all three of these examples, the prefix "Trans" is used and we can understand that the meaning here is clearly Across.

Cheers.

The correct answer is slow and steady wins the race

These two are similar because they both mean that if you are patient and have will that you can achieve anything. It's like the story of the rabbit and the tortoise.

Read these lines from "Annabel Lee" and answer the question.
KonstantinChe [14]
This passage uses repetition to create a haunting effect in two different ways. The first way repetition is used is through literal repetition, repeating the phrase "my darling" and ending both of the final lines with the word "sea". The second form of repetition that creates this effect is the repetition of an idea. A sepulchre is an area where a person is buried, and so is a tomb, so the final two lines have the same meaning.

The change in end rhyme in from the first two lines to the last two lines is also significant, because it changes the focus of the poem from mourning the person who has been laid to rest, to the place in which she has been laid to rest.
