A major goal of the Hutu-led regime in Rwanda
Pavel [41]
A major goal of the Hutu-led regime in Rwanda in mid-1994 was to (1) eliminate the Tutsi minority. There had been ethnic tensions between the minority Hutu population and the majority Tutsi population, because the Hutus had been favored by the Belgians (who had previously colonized the country) and now held high positions in government and were economically better off. Alex_Xolod [135]
- - Concerns struck about about allowing or banning slavery in newly established the territories during the 1800s consisted of about the newer established territorials could have been a slave state, or a free state. Now they were concerned because no one liked the idea of becoming a free state as it was worried what would happen with banning slavery and such. Now if because a slave state then the senate would be more controlled by the south, as if a free, then northern people would have control. Now this scared everyone as there are some bad things about becoming a free state and some bad things about becoming a slave state. This concerns such as no more slaves, or many more. More people could become slaves and be sold, as a free state there is no more of that and sometimes people fear it due to making money off of it. These are the most common concerns about allowing or banning slavery in newly established territories during the 1800s.
