Compare and contrast Berlin refugees during the Cold War to modern day refugees in the world today.
algol13

Answer:

The numbers of Refugees then cannot be compared to the number now because of increase in violence and conflict.

Explanation:

West Berlin was a worry and an embarrassment for the Soviet Union in 1961. Nearly 2,000 refugees a day were fleeing to the West through West Berlin - damaging the Soviet claim that the Communist way of life was better than capitalism. Many of those leaving were skilled and qualified workers.

An unprecedented 70.8 million people have been forcibly displaced worldwide, and 37,000 people are forced to flee their homes every day due to conflict or persecution.

What effect did the Enclosure acts have on people’s working lives
Zarrin [17]
Changes brought about by the acts prevented large farmers from taking lands from smaller farmers.
Small farmers could no longer work on common lands and had to move to cities for work.
Peasants started working on enclosed lands and soon became wealthy because of higher wages.
Landowners forced peasants to build roads and bridges as part of the new enclosure laws.

Connect east Africa's geographic proximity to the Indian Ocean to its historic development how might the region have developed d
Alecsey [184]

The development of the East African coastal region was greatly influenced by it s excellent strategic position. It became a trading center where goods from three continents were passing by, and lots of money, as well as innovations and technologies were coming in this part of the continent.

If the situation was different, like suggests, if the region was an inland desert or mountainous area in Africa, than it was going to be a very backwards region in every aspect. The people would have steel been living in primitive tribal societies, and there's big possibility that they were going to practice a nomadic lifestyle as well. And those kind of conditions will not allow the formation of developed society, or great empire.
