Answer: Manolin loves and respects Santiago and is worried about him.

Explanation: Ernest Hemingway's "The Old Man And The Sea" tells the story of how an old, experienced fisherman battled against sharks to keep his marlin safe, only to return home empty handed except for the bones. But his achievement was not unnoticed, for it was one of the greatest finds among all the fishermen in his village.

The final scene shows his return, at which the boy Manolin had been looking for him everyday, despite his own family's displeasure. And once Santiago returned, he took care of the tired and worn out man, bringing him food and clothes and taking care of anything that is needed. Even when going out to get coffee for the old man, he cried openly, "did not care that they saw him crying". And even after Santiago's admittance that he would no longer be fishing for he has bad luck, Manolin insists that "I’ll bring the luck with me". This shows his determination to be by the old fisherman's side, and how much he adored and respects the old man.

amm1812

Answer:

True

Explanation:

The term Gilded Age was coined by Mark Twain decades after. He named this era the Gilded Age because it was an age seemingly full of prosperity, but behind the surface, there was great poverty and corruption.

On one hand, during the Gilded Age, real wages rose 60% in the U.S., railways were built from coast to coast, and cities in the north became industrial powerhouses.

On the other hand, a large number of European immigrants lived in abject poverty in the cities, and the South continued to be poor, with former African Slaves mostly becoming agricultural workers in conditions frequently similar to slavery in all but name.

If a school wanted to seek funding for ecofriendly technologies for their school, which of the following reports would be most u
Inessa [10]

Answer:

Explanation:

Remark

Let's look at the two that you can eliminate without much worry. B and C are not going to say much about ecofriendly technologies.

It's between the New Science Lab and A record of Operational Data. The Operational Data might given you a hint about the need to reduce costs, but it won't say much about how to do it.

I would pick D. The science lab has the best chance of employing alternate ways of looking for cost control using ecofriendly technologies. It is a lab after all, and that is the first place one should seek the most modern ideas.
