Answer:

Rugged and undulating are the two ways which shows that topography effects the population of an area.

Explanation:

Topography has a great effects on the distribution of population. Rugged topography is a type of topography in which the surface is uneven and rocky while undulating topography refers to land which is just like waves having lower and higher points. So both of these topography decreases the population of people because on these lands walking is difficult due to no roads and uneven surface so that's why people settle on the plain areas.

West Nile is carried by mosquitoes. Mosquitoes use bodies of water, such as ponds, to lay their eggs. If you live near a pond, there are going to be a lot of mosquitoes around you, thus making you more susceptible to West Nile.

Which of the following is an example of an outdated theory based on the consensus of the scientific community ? A. Big Bang
Natasha_Volkova [10]

Answer:

B. Geocentric solar system

Explanation:

The scientific community is the one that accepts or dismisses theories. Some theories are accepted, and that is because there are enough evidence that support them, while some theories are dismissed as they have been proven over time that they are not correct.

One of the theories that is outdated and has been dismissed by the scientific community is the theory of the geocentric solar system. This theory has been in place and widely accepted for a very long time, pretty much two millenniums.

This theory was basically suggesting that the Earth is the center of the solar system. The Sun, Moon, all the other planets that were known, as well as the stars, were all orbiting around the Earth. This has been proven as wrong (except that the Moon is orbiting around Earth), and that the theory is far away from the truth, so naturally once there were enough evidence it was dismissed.
