This is an example of a simile - comparing the earth's shore to a bright girdle by using the word 'like'.

An oxymoron compares two opposite things (jumbo shrimp), a hyperbole uses exaggeration (the best answer ever), and personification gives human characteristics to non-human items (a talking animal).
