Y_Kistochka [10]

Answer:

So in the War of 1812 America is utterly unsuccessful in gaining any land, however in the Mexican American War all the land we hoped for at the beginning of the war we have almost no problem in obtaining. We were so successful in the Mexican American war that the Mexican government invite Santa Ana to come back because of the incompetence of their current generals. Explain why the Arabs felt betrayed by the British after British occupation of Palestine.
aliya0001 [1]

The Arabs felt betrayed when the British occupied Palestine after WWI because they had been promised independence.

During WWI:

 • The British and French encouraged Arabs to rebel against the Ottoman empire
 • The British and French promised the Arabs independence in exchange for their support

When the war was over and the Arabs had fulfilled their side of the bargain, the British and French instead occupied Arab lands such as Palestine. This led to the Arabs being betrayed as they simply got new masters instead of independence.

In conclusion, the Arabs felt betrayed because the British had renegaded on a promise.
