Answer:

Explanation:

The Bessemer process was invented by Henry Bessemer and was used for the production of steel from molten pig iron.

The Bessemer process had the following advantages:

1. Steel could now be produced in bulk

2. The process of making steel became less labor-intensive

3.Due to its small and compact size, major repairs can be carried out within short periods of time

Shortfalls of the Bessemer process:

1. The Bessemer process was not able to remove the phosphorous found in the Pig iron of some types effectively, thus making it inefficient in that aspect

2. Steel produced through the Bessemer process always had retention of a small amount of Nitrogen from the air blast which adversely affected its structural stability and longevity when used for construction.

3. The Bessemer process usually produces inferior quality steel associated with blow holes and inclusions

Who helped Adams become president? ( hint: Corrupt Bargain)
Galina-37 [17]

Answer:

Henry Clay

Explanation:

The Election of 1824 saw no clear cut winner. Under the terms of the 12th Amendment, the House of Representatives would select the president from the candidates with the three highest totals. This eliminated Henry Clay. Jackson's supporters were confindent of winning. When John Quincy Adams was elected by the vote in the House, Jackson's followers claimed a deal must have been made. When Henry Clay was appointed Adam's Secretary of State, Jackson's supporters claimed a corrupt bargain had been made between Adams and Clay, in which Clay would become Secretary of State if he used his influence in the House to get votes for Adams. There was never any concret proof of this deal. Actually, Clay made his decision to support Adams before the vote because they held basically the same ideas for the nation and both disliked the ideas of Jackson. And, Clay turned out to be an outstanding Secretary of State.

As a historian, what connections and observations can you make between the reading and the map? This is a higher level thinking
alexandr1967 [171]

Answer:

You have to look at 3 different things

Explanation:

So first you look into the source by doing research on that certain subject, like if its a person, you start out where he lived, and if its a place you study the bacground of that place i.e, you have to look at what time that place was established or not, and if its a thing you do the same thing you did when its a place.

Secondly, You find the facts of that person, place, or thing by looking deeper into it like where was he/she born if its a person, or when it was built if its a place, and same goes if it was a thing. You have to look things up online and NEVER use wikipidia or any wikis, and then do the rest of the research yourself, try looking into books, like at a library and then try going to that place, but if that place is a place u cant go try looking deeper into it by finding sources like online and in books more. If its a person, you sould try looking into a biography of that person, then you look deeper into that search by looking online and going to the library.

And lastly, stay on topic of that resource and don't leave that subject until finished, and if you start the topic, you have to stay on it until finished. Investigate more on the other topics related to that topic after you have finished that topic, then you move on to the related topics to add detail to that topic, and you ALWAYS have to be willing to learn more about that topic. That's all I have on that subject.
