The more carbon that's released, the more plants grow, but the more plants that grow, the more carbon

is released. The permafrost levels also lower, releasing even more carbon into the atmosphere. Global warming is dangerous because the rate in which the climate changes will grow exponentially. In other words, the effects with each passing year will become faster and harder to reverse.

How far does Mr Birling change in the play ‘An Inspector Calls’?
Nadya [2.5K]

Explanation:

Mr Birling is the head of the Birling household. He has made himself very wealthy by being a 'hard-headed' business man. He is an active member of the community in Brumley and thinks that he might be in the running for a Knighthood. At the start of the play he comes across as being arrogant, making long speeches about his predictions for the future. He also makes assertions about how a man should look out for number one and not waste time helping others. It is at this exact moment that the Inspector arrives. Sybil, his wife, is his 'social superior' and it is hinted that he is self-conscious about being from a more working-class background. He is materialistic and possessive and also has old fashioned views about women.

1. What is the setting of "The Butterfly Princess"? * 1 point a fairy garden, then the ball a forest, then the ball a castle, th
slega [8]

Answer:

A castle, then the ball.

Explanation:

The short story "The Butterfly Princess" by Amalie Brown tells the fairy tale of how a princess was turned into a butterfly due to the spell by a naughty fairy. This resulted in the princess becoming a butterfly during the day and a girl at night.

Nothing could break the spell unless the princess found a prince who will be her true love. And by the end of the story, the princess had met her prince at the Royal Ball, but not before she was captured as a butterfly by a little boy. She transformed into her real self at night, breaking through the glass jar in which she was kept captive, rushed to the Royal Ball and met her prince. Thus, the setting of the story starts from the castle of the king and queen and ended with the Royal Ball.

What is the difference between renaissance and the reformation
Liula [17]

Answer:

Renaissance is mostly a cultural movement, while reformation is a movement inside the Catholic church.

Explanation:

  • The Reformation was the name for religious movements against the papacy and the Catholic Church in the 16th century. From these movements new religious communities emerged, independent of the papacy.
  • The most important initiators of the Reformation were Martin Luther in Germany, Zwingli and Calvin in Switzerland.
  • Supporters of the Reformation separated from the Catholic Church, proclaimed Scripture as the sole source of faith and spread their teaching in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, England and the Scandinavian countries.
  • The Renaissance marks the period when art, culture and intellectual endeavors turned to the classical art and teachings of Greece and Rome.
  • The past so revived, in which Renaissance artists and scholars found inspiration to develop and explore new ideas and practices, influenced all arts and sciences.
