DEFINITION OF THE SUBJECT: A peace treaty is an agreement between two or more hostile parties, usually countries or governments, which formally ends a state of war between the parties.

THE QUESTION: How would you have written the treaty differently? How would you turn it from a failed peace treaty into a successful one? How would you modify it to instill a lasting peace and avoid future war?

MY ANSWER: I believe that coming to terms could greatly solve formality between two countries. I would personally suggest that if peace could be kept between two countries, empires, nations..ETC. that I could instill prosperity and well being into the lives of any foreigner from the hostile country at hand.

Explain how militarism, alliances, imperialism, and nationalism led to World War I. Be sure to include what each term means and
emmasim [6.3K]

militarism: Commiting to military

alliances: Friends of countries that help in wartime

imperialism: Desire to colonize, for glory, riches, or global domination

nationalism: Believing in your country's greatness

Japanese Imperialism led to colonizing parts of china, since it was mad at western powers colonizing china and pushing it out (hypocrisy). Italy was a rising economy, but bitter of not getting a fair share of land. German nationalism was at a high as the emerging Nazi (nationalist socialist) party was overturning the inflation ridding weimar republic. The failing alliance of the League of nations was falling apart quickly. Soon Japan, Italy, and germany turned to Imperialism, Fascism, Nationalism, and militarism and the world would find itself in another world war.

N76 [4]
<span>The answer is "adopting".  It is an excerpt from the book of Andrea Sofroniou, "Therapeutic Psychology". It tackles Adolescence, a Psychosocial Stage by Erik Erikson, where an individual (aged 12-19 years), encounters conflict between his identity and feelings of confusion.

"If the adolescent fails to resolve the identity crisis by the time of entry into adulthood, he will feel a sense of role confusion or identity diffusion. Others seem to avoid the crisis altogether and settle easily on an available, socially approved identity. Still others resolve their crises by adopting an available but socially disapproved ideology. This latter option is called negative identity formation and is often associated with delinquent behavior. Resolution of the adolescent identity crisis has a profound influence on development during later adulthood."</span>
