Louie Zamperini piloted the B-24. Liberator.

They were on a rescue mission in a B-24 that should not have been authorized as safe to fly. This plane crashed in the Pacific, beginning the harrowing life on a rubber raft for the survivors.

RIP Mr. Unbroken Louie. An amazing story of resilience and faith!!
