This sounds like more of an english question? But my best guess would be that home is the best place to solve issues or holes in a relationship. This makes sense because a sewing machine is used to fix holes.

Susan Marciano invested part of her $38,000 bonus in a fund that paid a 10% profit and invested the rest in stock that suffered
kakasveta [241]

Answer:

Missing word <em>"The amount invested at 10% is $? and The amount invested in stock is ?"</em>

<em />

Let Susan invested $x that paid a 10% profit

Then (38,000 - x) suffered loss at 4%

Overall net profit = $3,350

10% of x - 5% of (38,000 - x) = $3,350

10/100*x - 5/100*(38,000 - x) = $3,350

10x - 5*(38,000 - x) = 335,000

10x - 190,000 + 5x = 335,000

15x = 335,000 + 190,000

15x = 525,000

x = 525,000/15

x = 35,000

From (38000 - x) when x = 35,000

==> 38,000 - 35,000

==> $3,000

So, the amount invested at 10% is $35,000 and the amount invested at 5% i.e stock is $3,000

Travel-Cheap agency is planning to open a ticket desk in a new shopping plaza, staffed by one ticket agent. It is estimated that
anastassius [24]

Answer:

(a) 75% (b) 25% (c) 2.25 customers (d) 12 minutes (e) 0.25 (f)0.237

Explanation:

Solution

Given that:

The Arrival rate at Poisson distribution = 15 per hour = λ

The Service rate at exponential distribution = 20 per hour = μ

(a) System utilization = λ/μ = 15 / 20 = 0.75 = 75%

(b) The Probability of zero requests in server = 1 - λ/μ = 1 - 0.75 = 0.25

or

The percentage of time server will be idle = 25%

(c)The expected number of customers waiting to be served = Average number of customers in line = λ^2/μ (μ-λ ) = 225 /20(20-15) = 45 /20 = 2.25

Therefore, it is expected that on an average, 2.25 customers are waiting in line to get served.

(d)The average time customers will spend in system = 1/(μ-λ )

=1/(20 - 15) = 1/5 hours = 12 minutes

(e)The probability of zero customer in system = 1 -λ/μ = 1 - 0.75 = 0.25

(f) The probability of more than 4 customers in the system = (λ/μ)^ 4+1

=  (15/20)5 = 0.237

bekas [8.4K]

Answer:

A. Disagree. Checking accounts represent something that the bank owes to the owner of the account. It is a bank liability.

Explanation:

Given the definitions of liabilities and assets, it is also important to distinguish the <em>point of view</em> when discussing whether a specific item is an asset or liability.

Since a checking account represents money bank users deposit into the bank, that means that the <u>bank owes the money deposited</u> to the bank customer.

Similarly, a car loan is a bank asset. It is an essential bank product representing the money lent to someone. That means <u>bank users owe the bank</u> in that case. Although the bank doesn't possess the loan money after providing someone with a loan, the loan money will be returned to the bank after some time (representing the key asset characteristic).

Megan and Susan are roommates. They spend most of their time studying (of course), but they leave some time for their favorite a
Leviafan [203]

Answer and Explanation:

The opportunity cost of megan for making pizza would be equivalent to the root amount as she make 1 pizza in 3 hours and in 5 hours she produced 1 boot beer so in one hour she produced 1 by 5th So for 3 hours it produced 3 by 5 so the opportunity cost would be 3 by 5 root beer gallon

Likewise for susan it produced 4 by 8 i..e 1 by 2 root beer gallons

By the above calculation the megan has the absolute advantage as megan takes lesser hours i.e. 3 hours while susan takes 4 hours

And, the susan has the comparative advantage as it contains the less opportunity cost i.e 1 by 2 as compared with megan i.e. 3 by 5

Also in the case of trade off susan would trade away as she has the comparative advantage

The highest price would be better off by 3 by 5 gallon

And, the lowest price is 1 by 2
