Anyone know the answer to this oddly specific question? "Which statement BEST expresses the theme of the story "Thank You Ma'am"

Answer is b, let me explain why. the child is disobeying his mother and not showing any obedience to his mom or anyone he talks to. so in this case the answer would be b. according to the story.
