The growth of European states as empires (also known as imperialism) can be considered as a major cause of World War I, since as countries such as Britain and France extended their empires, tensions among European countries escalated. Germany's drive for overseas colonies sparked armed clashes with established imperial powers.
Well the only constitutional change that resulted from the election of 1800 was the twelfth amendment requiring separate electoral votes for president and vice president. First election where both parties ran candidates and actually campaigned. There was a tie between Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr. Because of the election of 1800, the 12th Amendment was passed, making the ElectoralCollege simpler.
There were only two major problems that got in the Texans' way when they had finally gained their independence.
The first reason is that Mexico refused to accept the treaty Santa Anna had signed to give Texas independence.
The second reason was that Texas was technically bankrupt. An extra reason was that the
President Dwight D. Eisenhower was the first president to explain the domino theory, although he never actually called it the domino theory. He was explaining it in regards communism in Southeast Asia.
