English

Growth mindset is to do with beliefs about learning and intelligence and how the brain works. When students for example are explained that effort and work and study helps the brain to grow and that the brain is malleable, their scholatic performance usually improves. This is the opposite of a fixed mindset in which the brain is viewed as static rather than dynamic and changing all the time with experience and questioning. Research on brain plasticity shows that neural networks grow new connections with the right stimulation which includes challenging oneself with new learning experiences and meeting new people for example.

The guard talked so quickly that you couldn’t understand his directions. Which answer choice below corrects a vague, ambiguous o
crimeas [40]

Answer:

C. The guard talked so quickly that we couldn’t understand his directions.

Explanation:

A pronoun is a word that replaces the common or proper noun in a sentence to avoid the repetition of the same noun. Some examples of pronouns are I, we, you, they, he, she, it, etc.

The faulty, vague, or ambiguous pronoun is the one that confuses a reader of the pronoun's antecedent or a sentence in which the reader is unable to know which noun is the pronoun referring to.

In the given statement, the vague pronoun is represented in the use of the <em>'you' </em>pronoun. The correct pronoun instead of 'you' should be 'we' to make the statement more clear.

Therefore, the correct option is C.
