Growth mindset is to do with beliefs about learning and intelligence and how the brain works. When students for example are explained that effort and work and study helps the brain to grow and that the brain is malleable, their scholatic performance usually improves. This is the opposite of a fixed mindset in which the brain is viewed as static rather than dynamic and changing all the time with experience and questioning. Research on brain plasticity shows that neural networks grow new connections with the right stimulation which includes challenging oneself with new learning experiences and meeting new people for example.
The growth mindset starts with brain but then according to research it is only few reported that the brain measures is related to growth mindset. Growth mindset start when the children is studying.
