For example, sculpture, paintings, plays, movies, and music can impart and invoke different types of feelings. Feelings are some of the deepest rooted ways to connect with other individuals. Feelings can cross genders, races, languages, and orientations. Everyone can relate to emotions. It is the one thing that humans have that some other mammals may not. This is why feelings is an important and appropriate key word for the romantic arts.

The Era of Romanticism during the 19th Century were coincides with the word, "feelings" due to intellectual and philosophical works being made. For example Caspar David Friedrich's Romantic Painting, "Wanderer Above The Sea Of Fog" pulled out the emotions and feelings of what the audience saw. People may have different opinions of art but the art like Friedrichs gave a sense of feeling and emotion. These feeling could include enthusiasm, energetic, curiosity, horror, etc. The main goal of a Romantic art work was to convey emotion (feelings).
