Answer:

I'm not necessarily in any type of music class. But my uncle is, and I've learned a lot about it from him. It might not be perfect, but I definitely think it's accurate enough. I'm not sure how strict they are with specific details, but this should do. So I put it down in the explanation. You are 100% obligated to change some of it as well :) Good luck !

Explanation:

First paragraph: I define a "Classic Song" as something not only to be memorable, but for everyone to recognize by a current or original generation of music fans who were around when a certain song/ album was released. But the song/ album needs to be remembered, enjoyed, and recognized by subsequent generations as well, which makes it evaluate to musical elements that would make music LEGENDARY.

Second paragraph: There have been plenty of big hit singles/ albums who may have had an impact on the pop charts the year they were released, but are sometimes virtually forgotten years later. On the other hand, there are other songs which may have not had a big impact the year that they were released, but have had a much bigger cultural impact in subsequent years and have much more longevity. It is the long term recognition that makes the song/ album a "Classic Song".
