Answer:Spiderman, The Matrix and The Lion King all follow Joseph Campbell's monomyth. Campbell wrote about the hero's journey in 1949, and people today still read and enjoy the hero’s journey. All hero’s journey stories have trials and adventure. The Book of three by Lloyd Alexander is a hero’s Journey.

The ordinary world is really boring to the hero in a hero’s Journey. Taran lives in Caer Dallben in the land of Prydain. Taran is bored because he wants to go on an adventure but he is stuck in a farm making horse shoes for a horse they don't have. All hero’s journeys start in a boring world and the hero’s are eager for adventure. Later Taran faces trials.

Trails are the tests of strength and bravery towards a hero. Taran had a trial when he had to fight the horned king. It was really difficult at first but he succeeded and he had another trial when he was running from the cauldron-born he thought he was going to get caught but he didn’t because of his bravery. All heroes have hardships to overcome. Once the problem is solved , The hero returns to the ordinary world.

The last stage of the hero's Journey is the return. The hero goes back to the ordinary world but they have changed. The whole gang goes back to Caer Dallben, and the stage is set for the next story.

The Book of three is a hero's Journey by Lloyd alexander. Joseph Campbell’s monomyth is important because the monomyth isn’t just structure, it's also how we relate ourselves to the movie we're watching or the book we're reading. Taran started his trials and he fought the horned king bravely and he returned to Caer Dallben safe and sound without any injuries. The hero’s Journey is just like our real life we want to go places not be stuck at home in quarantine some of us been through alot like they lost someone in life or get there hearts broken those are your trials but you should never give up and always keep your head up and you would be successful .

Answer:The answer is B: ad hominem.

A logical fallacy is a failed form of argument that reaches a conclusion by means of invalid proofs that are not justified. In the context of this passage, how do people face death? Cite evidence from this text, your own experience, and other literatur
ValentinkaMS [17]

Answer:

Emily is clearly linked to a monument--a symbol of death--in this passage. Many people think of tributes to the dead or to fallen heroes when they think of monuments. Monuments are found in many cemeteries, often to remember the famous or dead who are buried there. Faulkner connects Emily to a '' fallen monument'', to reinforce the theme of decay, a reminder that all things will fall to ruin. Monuments will crumble, societies will falter, and Emily and the other townspeople will die.

Explanation:

Symbols of death are as pervasive as the fine dust that coats Miss Emily's house in this short story. The dust covers everything in Emily's house, and the men who go there to attempt to collect Emily's taxes notice that the hallway ''smelled of dust and disuse.'' When they are seated in the parlor, ''a faint dust rose sluggishly about their thighs, spinning with slow motes in the single sun-ray.''

Dust coats everything in the secret room where Emily's horrifying secret is revealed and the townspeople learn that she has killed Homer Barron, her boyfriend, and kept his body. After Emily's neighbors break down the door of the secret room, they are shocked to see that ''What was left of him, rotted beneath what was left of the nightshirt, had become inextricable from the bed in which he lay; and upon him and upon the pillow beside him lay that even coating of the patient and biding dust.''

100 POINTS AND BRAINLIEST FOR HELP
AfilCa [17]

1) A description of the set up that explains what happened before the scene.

A was very close to this guy that I had known since the sixth grade. We went to the same middle school and we were again close. Despite how close we were, we were just friends with no attraction towards each other. We were at the cafeteria; it was very spacious and long, and had a stage for our end-of-the-year party we have with our DJ. It was in fact, our end-of-the-year party and we were both hanging out with each other. It was a huge party. There was a disco ball and people were dancing to music. The two of us had ordered food from a nearby food truck and we ate together at one of the side tables when his friend approached us.

2) Diction that matches the characters.

I wore a white tank top with blue shorts and black converse. My friend from sixth grade wire a black T-shirt with black ripped jeans and sky blue sneakers. My friend's friend wore a pink dress with brown sandles.

3) Character objectives and obstacles are clearly conveyed.

Me and friend had just went there to have a good time since we are voth usually busy with school and homework. This was our only time to hang out together. My friend's friend came to us and asked him what he was doing with me, not knowing that we are friends.

4) A scene that escalates in dramatic intensity.

At the time, I did not know that they were dating. He focused on her and said that we are just hanging out. She looked at me and walked up to him and slapped him. Of course I was incredibly confused, but before I could say anything, she left right away. He didn't say anything except, "I have to go." We called it a night.

5) Diction that is appropriate to the audience.

The next day I asked him who she was and he told me everything, about how they were dating and how she thought he was cheating on her.

6-7) Words that are not wasted in idle chit chat. Action (stage directions) that enhance the scene.

I was on my way home one day and the girl came up to me and asked me what my relationship with him was. I tild her politely that we are just friends. She rolled her eyes at me and said that I was lying to her and threated to fight me. This turned into an argument. She was convinced that I wanted to go after her boyfriend and I told her that we are just friends from elementary school. The next few days, she followed me around the school harassing me all day. She would keep on telling me how she was going to fight me and how I was taking him away from her. The problem eventually got solved when I moved schools.
