1. Some of the earliest forms of writing appeared around 3500 B.E.C.

2. The Sumerians needed to keep track of food, grain and other material used in trade, so they made pictures of the items on clay tables.

7. Rather than clay, ancient Egyptians recorded their writings on leather or on a more fragile material.

8. This fragile material was papyrus, and it later came to be called paper.
9. About eighteen hundred years ago, a Chinese inventor made paper from bark and rags.
10. Chinese books were soon written on a paper; unfortunately, the knowledge of paper-making did not reach Europe for a thousand years

Helppp asapp!! Which three of the following lines from the excerpt directly develop the idea that things are a burden?
zheka24 [161]

Options B, E, and H are the ones that manage to develop the idea that things, objects inside a house are a burden.

These options are:

  • B. There was nothing in the house to demand care to claim attention consciousness with its insistent and change in companionship
  • E. This did not have to be taken down and put up in a arranged and dusted and cared for
  • H. If we could but free ourselves once for all, how simple life might become!

The text shows how the narrator when arriving at a house, with very little furniture and objects, feels at peace and happy.

She doesn't feel the need to furnish the house, because she thinks it would end the peace the house provided.

The house established a calm that she had never felt before and she began to realize that this was because the house did not promote the obligation to clean, care and preserve the objects, as this was a great burden.

yulyashka [42]

Answer:

The relationship between the two sentences in the excerpt is that the second sentece is explaining the reason why the events of the first sentece ocurred.

In the first sentence, a fact is introduced: the Mongols tried to invade Japan twice, but typhoons impeded them from doing so both times. The second sentence clarifies why: the severe weather produced by the typhoons destroyed most of the Mongol fleet, which forced them to retreat.
