ok so basically, if the climate is too cold most crops wont grow. certain physical landforms also might not have good soil or is too rocky. if climate goes from the perfect conditions to suddenly really wet then the plants might drown or die. hopefully that helps a little

Asthenosphere is a layer of the Earth situated below the lithosphere. It is a semi-fluid and ductile rock or partly molten rock. Due to semi-fluid state of asthenospheric rock, it behave like a plastic and flow gradually. Thus, causes movement of continents.
