Yes.

Explanation:

I think they should because everyone needs to do something that they think they make a difference in. In this case it was becoming an author. Another reason people should follow their aptitude instead of randomly choosing is because if you randomly choose something you might not be that good in that area. Say for instance you were a "randomly chosen" doctor and you are no good doctor you could put yourself and your patient in danger.
