How has Eurocentric history depicted African people and their cultures?

History

Answer:

Eurocentric history has depicted African history and culture as highly inconsequential. Because of the general lack of exposure to their multifarious unique cultural characters, (especially sub-Saharan) Africans have been collectively regarded as culturally unaccomplished and underdeveloped. Throughout history, African people have also been subject to derision due to their starkly different appearances and customs (from a European perspective).

Identify and explain a similarity or difference between the home lives of working-class people and middle-class people. Plz Help
Leona [35]

Answer:

Differences.

Explanation:

Working class homes usually have a lack of nice things. Money is tight so it is rarely spent on buying new nice things, such as new blankets, new plates, a new couch, etc. Working class families usually tend to have the children doing majority of the house work, considering that the parents are more often than not always working or exhausted when they aren't working. Children in working class homes are more likely to have hand me down attire, toys, and furniture. Parents in these homes are usually stressed and tired often.

Middle Class homes differ in that there is usually a lesser stress level and more spending money. Middle class homes tend to have more up to date things and if something starts to look dingy, they can replace it. Chores in middle class families are usually split evenly between children and parents, as parents have more time to help around usually. Children in middle class homes are more likely to have newer and brand name clothing, and not have hand me down things. Things in middle class homes tend to be more stable, as there's less stress and more support all around.

What influence is apparent in the lifelike verism of roman republican portraits?
Alina [70]

Egyptian influence is apparent in the lifelike verism of roman republican portraits.

Egyptian priests and cults are thought to have come into touch with Italy and Greece before Republican portraits were created, and they are thought to have had a significant influence on the Romans in creating the veristic style.

Verism can be described as a type of hyperrealistic sculpture in which the subject's inherent qualities are amplified, frequently to the point of ridiculousness.

Verism can be seen as a kind of dry realism that depicts the subject as they actually are—wrinkles, warts, and other bodily flaws—and, more importantly, with an expression that is not that of a philosopher, poet, or visionary.
