4 hundred-dollar bills 23 ten-dollar bills, 17 one-Dollar bills 46 Dimes And 19 pennies How much? Please help
Darina [25.2K]
Hundred dollar bills is 100 dollars so if you have four of them you get 400
ten dollar bills is 10 dollars so if you have 23 of them you have 230
one dollar bills is 1 dollar so if you have 17 of them you 17 dollars
400+230+17= 647
One dime is equal to 10 cents so if you have 46 of them you have $4.60
One penny equals 1 cent so 19 pennies equal 19 cents
$4.60+.19= $4.79
$647+$4.79= $651.79<---- that's your answer

Use the same coordinate plane to draw the graphs of the functions. Y=kx-2 if k=1, 0.4,-1
mario62 [17]

Graphs can be used to represent functions.

See attachment for the graphs of: <em>y =x - 2, y = 0.4x - 2, y =-x - 2</em>

The function is given as: \mathbf{y = kx - 2}

When k = 1,

We have:

\mathbf{y = 1\times x - 2} ----- substitution property of equations

\mathbf{y = x - 2}

So, the equation is: \mathbf{y = x - 2} when k = 1

When k = 0.4,

We have:

\mathbf{y = 0.4\times x - 2} ----- substitution property of equations

\mathbf{y = 0.4x - 2}

So, the equation is: \mathbf{y = 0.4x - 2} when k = 0.4

When k = -1,

We have:

\mathbf{y = -1\times x - 2} ----- substitution property of equations

\mathbf{y = -x - 2}

So, the equation is: \mathbf{y = -x - 2} when k = -1

See attachment for the graphs of: \mathbf{y = x - 2}, \mathbf{y = 0.4x - 2} and \mathbf{y = -x - 2}

What is the distance between he points (5,14) and (18,3)
Gemiola [76]

the distance bewteen points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is

d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

given (5,14) and (18,3)

d=\sqrt{(18-5)^2+(3-14)^2}

d=\sqrt{(13)^2+(-11)^2}

d=\sqrt{169+121}

d=\sqrt{290}

the distance between those points is √290
