The little grey mouse that lived in my wall prospered for many days on nibbles of my lunch. I'd pack a meal before bed and, whil

e I slept, he would take small bites of my lunch, which I left on the counter. He'd take a cracker crumble here, and a bread crumb there, but he wouldn't take too much and he'd always clean up after himself. Things were going quite well for him and I didn't even know that he existed, until he got sloppy. One night while I slept, he ate all my chips and left a big mess. When I awoke to this site, I knew what had happened to my chips. The next night he returned for another snack. He found a nice, delicious piece of cheese... lightly balanced on a mousetrap. Now I don't have to share my chips anymore.

Answer:

Well if the meaning of the theme of a story is what the author is trying to convey - in other words, the central idea of the story, then the theme of the story would probably be that "What is done in the dark always comes to the light", which means that when you go behind others backs and do something wrong, sooner or later it will come up, and you will be what they call "punished" what happens in the story that makes me believe this would be the life lesson the mouse had got taught (something like that)

** let me know if this helps... i got stumped too**

(Brainliest when possible if i got it right)

Some people fast for a period of time after Mardi Gras.
Allisa [31]

Given sentence: Some people fast for a period of time after Mardi Gras. In this, ‘people’ is the simple subject.

Answer: Option A

Explanation:

A sentence consists of a subject and a verb, out of which the subject tends to define the area of focus in a sentence. When a simple noun is present in a subject, there is a noun which can add more meaning into the sentence when added and by doing so the noun is more focused.

Here people defined the as noun, the area of focus in a sentence. Fast is the verb to which there is more meaning added to the sentence. Without any subject, one cannot find a complete sentences.

Which literary device has Edmund Spenser used in these lines from Sonnet 9?
ser-zykov [4K]
The correct answer is C. Hyperbole. This is because her eyes do not really shine goodly light nor do they shine by night, he is just overreacting. It isn't a simile because it doesn't have the famous "as something as something" pattern, nor are they a metaphor because he describes her eyes obviously and doesn't try to symbolically represent them. They aren't personified and do not show human emotions or thoughts and opinions, or behavior.

Why was graduation an important moment in your life? 3 reason
vovikov84 [41]
I don't think that the Graduation ceremony is of much importance as long as you get your High-School Diploma. However if you want 3 positive reasons:

1.After many years of repeating, failing exams or got held back several grades its good to finally know your work paid off by going to the Graduation when you see all your friends with there graduation uniforms, saying last goodbyes, you feel self-satisfied of finishing your 12th grade and earning a reward for it, etc.

2. You can spend some of your time with family members that day. Everyone is congratulating you because you finished your 12th grade and some want to give you good advice in what you can or want to do with your future

3. Also those people who have helped you along the way want to grab the opportunity to celebrate your achievements as well. Graduation gives you all the time to stop and appreciate this moment together.

However to be honest if you just get the diploma and not assist its good too. Why would you want to see everyone cry like if it were a funeral in such a happy day? Not trying to make of this something negative though.
