Answer:

The book <em>To Kill A Mockingbird</em> by Lee harper was published in the 1960's. This time period was full of difficulties, however the book was set in the 1930's so it focused on the problems in that time period. Those problems being the great depression, and racism. She writes from the perspective of a young girl, who was largely based on herself,  encountering these problems. It follows a case that her father, Atticus Finch, participates in as a lawyer.
