Joe is a member of Future Farmers of America (FFA), so for his demonstration speech he wanted to show his audience the proper wa

y to groom and care for his prize-winning Holstein cattle. Instead of bringing a Holstein to class, what could Joe do in this demonstration speech?
Create a flowchart of the proper grooming method.

Forego the use of presentation aids in such a situation because a large presentation aid (such as a cow) would be too distracting

Use a three-dimensional model of a Holstein along with the items he uses to groom the cattle when the actual object is too large to be casily used as a presentation is for a speech

Use the Holstein, even if it is large and not easy to maneuver, because an object is always preferable to a drawing or model

Based on reading the excerpt from Silent Spring by Rachel Carson, what can you conclude was the author's purpose?
Aliun [14]
Silent Spring by Rachel Carson was an environmental science book. It documented the negative effects the indiscriminate use of pesticides has on the environment, particularly the birds.

The book became the tool that awakened the public to the real harm that big industrial companies have been hiding from them. Thus, driving them to launch an environmental movement that aims to prohibit the indiscriminate use of pesticides, specifically DDT.

Line 7 uses personification.
The author is giving human-like attributes to the sunbeams, as they’re implying that the sunbeams “play” around.
