They established trading posts along rivers and other waterways to be able to participate in the fur trade easily. By settling along there the transportation was easier.
Grandparents are very special people and they live in very special houses - as well as my grandparents!Matilda is my grandmother and my grandfather is Friedrich. Both are already old and their faces are wrinkled. But at heart they stayed young.They live in a delightful little house in a village in the Austrian mountains. The house is not very big, but my grandmother makes sure it is always clean and comfortable.It has only one floor and above that the attic. Inside are two bedrooms, a kitchen, a pantry, a small living room, a dining room and a bathroom. The house has a fireplace, a chimney and a terrace with a view of the mountains. Behind the house is grandmother's colorful flower garden.I'm Florian one of the eldest grandchilds of my grandparents. Almost every weekend I visit the two.My grandfather always waits outside the door with open arms and a smile on my face. Then he hugs and kisses me. He always listens to me and gives me good advice. Grandpa is so modern and we often chat with each other.Grandmother is a great cooker and she bakes the best chocolate cake in the world. She always makes it extra for me when I come to visit. She is a warm, caring and understanding woman!
