Answer:

The link that has bound Bill Gates, Bill Clinton and Bill Cosby is not as obvious as one may think. The common ingredient goes well beyond a given birth name. All three men have, throughout their adult lives, been victims, agent and delegates of power and politics. Each man, in his respective careers, has demonstrated political influences as well as exercised significant power. However, whether one is in the business of serving the public, engaging in technology or a comedic authority, politics and power will clearly play a dominant role.

Since the beginning of time, politics, also known as, "manipulative and underhanded behavior", has been a part of every human equation. Social science studies suggest it is a phenomenon that is woven into the very fabric of our culture. It is thought to be essential, inevitable and the glue that makes everyday life function on many levels. It is in today's work settings that politics flourish, because as humans we are all seeking similar ends; to be respected; to be financially secure; personally successful; and above all, powerful (Career Planning & Management Inc.2000). Power can be derived from the position held within an organization, or the personal power of an individual. Power is the one force that can make things happen as well as influence the action, behavior and achievement of others.

Each type of power is important to the development of an organization and influencing others to do what one wants. This Positional power can be provided to an individual when they enter an organization based on their title or status within the company. However, personal power is not based on a position held, but based on knowledge and expertise an individual can contribute to the benefit of the organization. Leaders should have a balance of both positional and personal power to influence and motivate those that they lead. (Schermerhorn, J., Hunt, J., & Osborn, R. 2003. p18).

What conflict do santha and premila experience when they meet the headmistress
elena55 [62]

Answer:

The conflict that Santha and Premila experience when they met the Headmistress was that she tried to change the names of Santha and Premila, which suggests that people were trying to change them and their identity.

Explanation:

'By Any Other Name' is a short story written by Santha Rama Rau. The story is the story of two sisters who were forced to attend Anglo Indian School. The story is set during the times of British Raj in India. The story sheds light on the discrimination faced by Indian students by English people in the school (abd outside as well.)

The conflict that arouse in the story when Santha and Premila met the Headmistress was the she changed their names. Name of a person reflects much about his or her identity and culture, of which they were robbed in the school by their English Headmistress.

The Headmistress changes the name of Santha to Cynthia and Premila to Pamela because their Indian names were difficult to pronounce by them.
