Normally, my teacher would give us a bunch of resouces. If this is not the case, I suggest just glancing back at all your past worksheets or thinking back the some tests in the past. That's what i do and I have never failed! :D

Which of the following is not a negative consequence of upward urban growth? a. pollution b. creation of a “heat island” c. incr
Murrr4er [49]
Solution: C. Increased use of surrounding land

Upward urban growth will increase pollution as the number of people will increase. The increase in population and obstruction of free movement of air because of upward urban growth will result in a "heat island". Since the number of inhabitants is going to increase with upward urban growth, waste management will also become an issue.

In the proto-solar system nebula, gravity pulled matter together to form larger bodies. As they collided, what happened to these
Karolina [17]

Answer:

There was a release of immense heat within the bodies as they collided together as gravitational potential energy was converted into kinetic energy of the individual gas particles and then collisions between these particles converted this energy into heat.

Therefore, a massive amount of heat was released.

Which statement is true of DNA polymerase?
Snezhnost [94]

Answer:

b) DNA polymerase can synthesize DNA in the 5' to 3' direction

DNA polymerase is only able to synthesize a new strand of DNA and not mRNA. It is only able to do this in the 5' to 3' direction. The leading template strand runs in the 3' to 5' direction and so the new complementary strand is synthesized in a 5' to 3' direction in one continuous run, following the replication fork as it 'unzips' the DNA.

hope it helps btw i did this test and i got it correct

8. Now figure out how many sheets of graph paper you would have to use to list all the bases in a gene of 90,000 bases (not far
Oksana_A [137]

Now it is clear that genes are what carry our traits through generations and that genes are made of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). But genes themselves don't do the actual work. Rather, they serve as instruction books for making functional molecules such as ribonucleic acid (RNA) and proteins, which perform the chemical reactions in our bodies.Proteins do many other things, too. They provide the body's main building materials, forming the cell's architecture and structural components. But one thing proteins can't do is make copies of themselves. When a cell needs more proteins, it uses the manufacturing instructions coded in DNA.The DNA code of a gene—the sequence of its individual DNA building blocks, labeled A (adenine), T (thymine), C (cytosine) and G (guanine) and collectively called nucleotides— spells out the exact order of a protein's building blocks, amino acids.

Occasionally, there is a kind of typographical error in a gene's DNA sequence. This mistake— which can be a change, gap or duplication—is called a mutation.
