Answer:

On April 14, 1912, a great ship called the Titanic sank on its maiden voyage. That night there were many warnings of icebergs from other ships. The captain was going to have to make a choice as to who would be the first allowed on the lifeboats. Around 12:30 a.m. the bridge informed the crew that only women and children would be loaded on the lifeboats.By 1:30 a.m., there was panic among some of the passengers. One example was on the port side of the boat. A group of passengers threatened to jump into a boat full of passengers. To scare them, one of the officers fired three shots on the ship's side. The warning proved to be successful. Nobody was injured and the passengers calmed down. The Titanic crashed at 2:20 a.m. on April 15, 1912, the British ocean liner sinks into the North Atlantic Ocean. The massive ship, which carried 2,200 passengers and crew, had struck an iceberg two and a half hours before sinking. The beginning which is the construction of the Titanic took 3 years with the help of anywhere from three thousand to fifteen thousand men. The RMS Titanic took sail April 11, 1912, from Southampton, England in the hopes of New York City.  The Titanic's passengers were divided into three separate classes, determined not only by the price of their ticket but by wealth and social class, those traveling in first class, the wealthiest passengers on board, were prominent and those traveling in third class were among the poorest. The Titanic received several warnings throughout its travel and ignored because the ship was assumed “unsinkable. “The Titanic eventually hit an iceberg and it was warned prior to impact. The ship didn’t have much time and couldn’t do anything about impact. It was much too late to retaliate to the wreckage, the only thing they could do was hope. Aboard the Titanic, only seven hundred and six passengers survived that fateful night of April 15, 1912.

American foreign policies in Third World countries were determined by Cold War doctrine. Explain American foreign policy in the
stiks02 [169]

Explanation:

maintaining the vitality of the U.S. economy while still building sufficient strength to prosecute the Cold War; (2) relying on nuclear weapons to deter Communist aggression or, if necessary, to fight a war; (3) using the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to carry out secret or covert actions against governments or leaders "directly or indirectly responsive to Soviet control"; and (4) strengthening allies and winning the friendship of nonaligned governments. Eisenhower's defense policies, which aimed at providing "more bang for the buck," cut spending on conventional forces while increasing the budget for the Air Force and for nuclear weapons. Even though national security spending remained high—it never fell below 50 percent of the budget during Eisenhower's presidency—Eisenhower did balance three of the eight federal budgets while he was in the White House.

Why does walter cunningham drench his lunch in molasses/syrup?
frosja888 [35]

You could argue that this is an indication of Walter Cunningham's severe poverty. He is very poor, and poor people did not have access to sweets or treats such as molasses syrup, so when he was offered it he deemed it appropriate to drench his entire lunch in it.
