How did John Brown's actions in Kansas and at
goblinko [34]

Answer:

John Brown was the embodiment of Radical Abolitionism. It wasn't what many people had in mind, but it certainly made a great news story in which fear had risen up more in the south.

Explanation:

John Brown was a radical abolitionist and went arguably insane since he kind of failed at anything he tried. He kickstarted years of fighting and death known as "Bleeding Kansas" and then raided an armory at Harper's Ferry. He tried to use violent means in order to end slavery in the south. This put the south at the near-breaking point.

Why was the Cold War significant?
Anika [276]

Answer:

The Cold War essentially changed the way that people view other countries and how to approach future conflicts. In America, during the Cold War the Red Scare led many people to be against immigrants and other ideologies such as communism. There was also the threat of a Nuclear War between the Soviet Union and the US. Where both sides were forced to not fight because if they did the end of the world would ensue. Many countries were overtaken by the Soviet Union leading to them becoming communist countries as well.
