Answer:

$24.50

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we know that 3 child tickets are $18.50 each, let's find out the total price of the child tickets.

18.50 x 3 = $55.50

Since we don't know the cost of each of the adult tickets, let's call it x.

Now let's make an equation!

55.50 + 2x = 104.50

Now we have to isolate x in order to find out the price of each adult ticket.

Let's subtract 55.50 on both sides

2x = 49

Now let's divide 2 on both sides.

x = $24.50

So the price of an adult ticket is $24.50

CHECK:

55.50 times 2 (24.50) = 104.50

Answer:

Your answer will be $$24.50

Step-by-step explanation:

Since for 3 children tickets cost $18.50 we will have to multiply $18.50 by 3.

3 x $18.50 = $55.50

Now that we completed this step let's continue to the next part.

Since, we don't know the price of the adult tickets will will call it x for now.

This time we will be using 2x to solve this equation.

2x refers to x is "twice a number"

$55.50+2x= $104.50

Now we should subtract $55.50 on both of the sides.

We will result in getting 2x=49.

Our next step will be to divide 2 on both of the sides.

We will result in getting x= $$24.50

Therefore, the price of the adult tickets is <u><em>$24.50 each.</em></u>

Someone tell me the answer of an expression equivalent to 4-2(x+5). Please and Thank you.
igomit [66]

Answer:

-2x - 6

Step-by-step explanation:

Multiplication must be done before addition or subtraction.  Thus, we leave '4' as is and multiply out -2(x + 5), obtaining:

4 - 2x - 10, or -2x - 6

The function shown in the graph is
pshichka [43]

Answer:

Linear function

y = 2x - 1

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a linear function because the line is straight, having no curved.

The equation for a linear graph is y=mx + b.

x and y represent points on he graph.

"m" represents the slope of the graph. Reading from left to right, if a positive slope, then the graph continues upward. If negative, then it's a graph down downwards.

"b" represents the y-intercept, when the graph hits the y-axis. It's also the initial value.

In the photo, we can see the y-intercept is (0, -1).

Slope is calculated by rise over run. Choose two random points on the graph. Count the "rise", or how many vertical units are between the points. If the point on the right is lower than the point on the left, the rise is negative. Count the "run", which is the number of horizontal units between the points.

For the point (0, -1) and (3, 5).

m = rise/run

m = 6/3

m = 2

Substitute m=2 and b= -1 into the equation of a line.

y = 2x - 1
