What type of diction is used in paragraph 15 of The Doll’s House?

English

Answer:

The diction of paragraph 15 is formal without colloquialism and the use of informal expressions and words.

Explanation:

Katherine Mansfield wrote this short story titled "The Doll's House" to clarify that marriage should join equals and not masters and minions. This agrees with the view that friends should marry and not strangers who do not know and respect one another. The story encourages the dissolution of any marriage which is not based on equal rights for the partners. It condemns people's misunderstanding of what marriage is all about. Marriage is a relationship based on love. It is not a contract of convenience or trade of some goods.

Describe what a typical day would be like from your hand's point of view. How would the world seem different from your hand's pe
Sonbull [250]

Answer:

Breakfast was amazing, but I kept knocking stuff off the breakfast table. I couldn't work properly because I had stayed up the whole night typing away without stopping on the huge computer like a beaver tirelessly building a dam out of wood. I somehow managed to go to school where I had to write more boring essays. Finally, the bell rung to signal the start of lunchtime. A most heavenly time.

Underlined= conjunctions

Bold= descriptive words

Italics= figurative language

Explanation:

First of all, you need to know what descriptive language, coordinating conjunctions and figurative language is.

Conjunctions are words which link two sentences together. Examples of thse are: but, and, or, as well as etc.

Figurative language is all about metaphors, similes, personifications etc. Figurative language include words and phrases such as: He slept like a log (simile). These type of sentences compare an object to another object, but not in a literal way.

Descriptive language is about describing a scene, object, person etc. A descriptive word can be an adjective, metaphor, adverb, simile and other word groups.

Hope this helps.

Describe the apartment and it’s furniture the great gatsby
Luden [163]

Answer:

The apartment itself is described as being small, "a small living-room, a small dining-room, a small bedroom, and a bath," and yet everything in this small apartment is described as being large: "tapestried furniture entirely too large" for the space and an "over-enlarged photograph" of a hen sitting atop a rock.

This is a public service announcement about how kids can help conserve energy.
Helen [10]

Answer: Motivational.

Explanation: This service announcement is directed towards kids. It's trying to encourage and motivate them to conserve energy. You can also use the process of elimination to cross out "aggressive" and "angry." It's not showing any strong emotions either, so it's not emotional.
